Barbie Barta, Owner & CEO
Barbie developed a passion for the recruiting industry over 25 years ago as an assistant recruiter. After two decades of running companies for other owners, Barbie realized that truly successful staffing begins with a relationship-oriented, consultative approach with each client and candidate. She joined what is now known as BCT in 2015 and soon became a driving force behind the company’s growth. After overseeing a successful rebranding in 2016, she became president in 2017, taking over as CEO and owner the following year.
Barbie finds joy in building trusted partnerships and cultivating strong professional relationships. She is a trusted and loyal leader to her team, employees, talent, and clients. Her passion for achieving organizational success is based upon a stance that encourages respect and supports growth.
Barbie is associated with and serves on SIM DFW Board, NPower Advisory Board, TechServe Alliance Board, and the Renaissance Leadership Group. She and the company are a sustaining member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.

Teresa Wheeler, Executive Office Director
Teresa Wheeler has over 35 years of experience providing excellent customer service. She joined BCT three years ago as the executive office director to assist with consultant care programs, internal office staff support, and event coordination. Teresa loves working with clients, consultants, and of course, the staff.
She gets complete joy out of helping others and ensuring the office has what it needs to be successful. In her spare time, Teresa loves spending time with her children, grandchildren, and fur babies.

Kristie Waggener, Director of Business Development
Kristie brings a diverse background to BCT since she has worked in a wide variety of industries including insurance sales and real estate. She started her staffing career at Robert Half almost 15 years ago. She has worked on the sales side and recruiting in the Accounting/Finance, Manufacturing/Logistics, and IT spaces. She also played an essential role in the opening of multiple new office locations for previous employers in both Wisconsin and Texas.
Originally from San Diego, Kristie is a huge fan of the outdoors, loves animals, is an avid equestrian, and is also a soccer player. She was in the DFW area for almost five years and loved it here. She has now moved to Utah to help with family matters and work remotely.

Trent Lyons, Senior Technical Recruiter
Trent Lyons is a husband, father, golf enthusiast and technical recruiting specialist with 20+ years of expertise in talent acquisition and team building within the fast-paced technology recruitment world. Trent joined BCT in February 2020 and has brought a track record of integrity and transparency. His career has been dedicated to a strong work ethic and a desire to always learn and inspire.
Trent is seen by his colleagues as someone who is detail-orientated, focused and ambitious. Trent brings a unique combination of strategic and creative thinking for new ideas. He thrives on facing challenges and finding workable solutions to consistently deliver results as a trusted advisor to both our candidates and clients.
In his spare time, Trent enjoys many sports and traveling with his family.
