Pick people who can honestly speak about your contributions and strengths. For the most part, what people will say and what employer candidates will ask is traditionally narrow. Fear of litigation can tighten loose lips, and that’s usually the info a potential employer is after. Nobody wants to hire someone else’s problems, but most people shine in better circumstances.
